Meet Mitch and Kevan

Mitch started Mitten Electric after spending 20+ years working as a project foreman for various electrical contractors in the Grand Rapids area. Today he is leading Mitten Electric as its founding partner and president where he oversees all aspects of construction and service activity.

Mitch carries a depth of experience in the electrical trade through his years in the field, from huge multi-family developments to restaurants and retail buildouts. He is an expert in boots-on-the-ground management and moving projects forward through creative problem solving.  

Kevan joined Mitten Electric in late-2019 as operations manager and estimator and is junior partner in the business. He also manages business development and client relations. 

After a mid-career pivot, Kevan started in the electrical trade as an apprentice, eventually working his way into a project management position. He brings a diverse background of experience to the business to help keep projects moving on the ground and continue growing our base of satisfied customers. Before his turn into the electrical field, Kevan was a news broadcaster in West Michigan and served as communications director for Congressman Vern Ehlers in his Washington office.
